A New Spin on Starting a Business
By attending the Get Started course, Krystal and Jared learned how to write a business plan, conduct market research, develop a cash flow projection in order to become viable borrowers. lenders. They were resilient with their dream of opening a fitness center, and proceeded to utilize roughly 20 hours of technical assistance and training through SNAP Financial Access.

Weaving Masks for Our Community
Thanks to our partners at the SNAP Financial Access Center and the SNAP Women’s Business Center, our employment manager Christi was able to hire this dynamic duo to sew 100 masks in a week. The masks were delivered to people in Spokane who may not have or struggle to have access to this kind of protective equipment. We are thankful to empower (and employ!) these friends in partnership with SNAP.

Anvil Welding Earns High Marks
Lonnie and Brenda received a small business loan through SNAP in September 2014, allowing them to purchase two pieces of welding equipment to help with the testing of students. Two years later, the business was awarded one of four inaugural ?SNAP Forward? grants from BECU, further bolstering their efforts.
